Veranstaltung in deutscher und englischer Sprache

Das Queer-Festival 2022 beginnt, mit einer Begrüßung der Schauspiel Intendantin Julia Wissert und einem Impuls des Autors Raphaël Amahl Khouri. Khouri spricht über die griechische Gottheit und den Ausgangspunkt des kunstvollen Rausches: Dionysos. 

Khouris Texte sind ironisch, humorvolle, autobiografische Auseinandersetzungen. In Not Strange, Magic! nimmt er uns mit zum Ursprung der Dionysien und der Erkenntnis, dass das Theater, der Rausch, und das Magische schon immer Queer waren.

Raphaël Amahl Khouri ist ein queerer transgender Arabisch-Deutscher Dokumentartheater-Dramatiker und Theatermacher, der in Berlin und Kairo lebt. Khouri ist Autor mehrerer Stücke, u.a. She He Me (Kosmos Theater, Wien 2019). Mit seinem Centerpiece im Stück Darkroom Revisted (von Jchj V. Dussel) wurde er zum Heidelberger Stückemarkt 2022 eingeladen.

The Queer Festival 2022 begins, with a greeting by Artistic Director Julia Wissert and an input by the author Raphaël Amahl Khouri. Khouri talks about the Greek deity and the starting point of artful intoxication: Dionysus. 

Khouri’s texts are ironic, humorous, autobiographical explorations. In The Cosmic BodySuit, he takes us to the origin of the Dionysia and the realization that theater, intoxication, and the magical have always been queer.

Raphaël Amahl Khouri is a queer transgender Arab-German documentary theater playwright and theater maker living in Berlin and Cairo. Khouri is the author of several plays, including She He Me (Kosmos Theater, Vienna 2019). He was invited to the Heidelberg Stückemarkt 2022 with his centerpiece in the play Darkroom Revisted (by Jchj V. Dussel).
